Tanker competitor Okeanis paid about $95M each for a soon-to-deliver Suezmax pair at the end of 2025. Teekay Tankers (TNK) also have purchased a pair of Suezmax resales (delivery 2027) for around $95M each. If Q2 2026 Spot rate is annualized, a Suezmax is earning $36M - $48M this year. Good for seller, good for buyer
Edit: The was a pair of newbuild transactions of some interest. The 4 Newcastlemax order is attributed to Seatankers i.e. Fredriksen-backed, and the pair of Capes is Tsakos (somewhat unusual for them to be in dry bulk)
