With the 2020 Bulker vessel being the fourth vessel being disposed, I have to wonder about the longer term viability of the entity. Now that Troim has Himalaya Shipping as a newer bulker entity, and also is focused on a VLCC entity, it might be shifting priorities. With NMM, I think the bulkers were relatively old (there were two mentioned in a recent release), so not a major surprise.
Hyundai ordering two VLCCs from HMM? Is the company taking a chance on a speculative pair of vessels? Interesting approach from Evergreen - ordering 7 vessels each from both a South Korean yard and a Chinese yard. Also interesting, 20 container vessel orders (of 24 - 26 total) have opted for DF (Dual Fuel) - given recent IMO talks, are owners exerting independence from US-backed objections?
