Diced onion, pepper, 1/4’d mushrooms, lotsa spices, 2 cans of diced toms, 1 can tom paste, 1.5lbs of browned ground beef… angel hair pasta and garlic bread will accompany din-din. A small salad will be the precursor. Mrs PL will choose the wine to go with this… usually a red cab, but we’ll see.

You can get a bottle of Chianti for less than $10. CabSav is drier and doesn’t pair as well with a heavy meat sauce. The Chianti is sweeter and compliments the tomato sauce.

OK… thanks for the edu. Not really up on wines and pairing, just enjoy a good meal and we drink what we have. Again, a limited pallet. Don’t care, too much, for dry…
