Possibly. Donut Lab claims they are ready to go into production with a solid state battery, promising very high energy densities, very fast charging, and very long life. Will be going into an electric motorcycle THIS QUARTER.

“The startup … claims the game-changing liquid-less battery cells and modules are available now at a gigawatt-hour level production capacity to companies worldwide.”
If true, this is the game changer I have been waiting for.

I’m long QS. They are opening a pilot line next month (or so the press releases say). Several players appear to have this close to working. If Donut Lab is first to market, that will be good for them. I agree this technology will revolutionize a lot of things, especially when they can produce at scale for a reasonable cost.
ICE will still have a legacy as they are the majority of the current fleet. That fleet will continue for many years (cars/trucks are durable). If the batteries (and the EVs that they go into) are affordable, we could see a major change within a decade.
Very exciting time. Even if I wasn’t a QS owner.
