but,But, BUT, that would take money away from the “JCs”! I was laffing when I read someone’s scheme for “solving” France’s chronic high unemployment: cut unemployment benefits, and cut minimum wage. Every “JC” solution to everything seems to involve taking away from 99% of the population, for the benefit of the “JC”.

And only a few years ago I would agree.
Indirectly through better off business sales and more savings by a growing middle class during this part of the cycle we know that is not true. It profits the business community.
