And, Susie, if this House Budget bill passes the Senate and the administration is immune from contempt of courts if they ignore the courts (which they have already done, including SCOTUS), then consider this the beginning of a true, actual dictatorship and the end of America.

I don’t think that the Administration would be immune from contempt of court. The federal courts, and the lawyers who practice before them, are too clever to be affected by that type of provision.

albaby1, you are mistaken. This administration is already ignoring court rulings. Including SCOTUS. Nothing is happening to them. Their base is not eroding. Nobody is getting charged with contempt or thrown into prison.
The party of rule of law is destroying the rule of law as we speak.

Ah, but that’s a different question. You intimated that the provision in the bill would make them immune from these types of things - but there’s such an obvious way of defeating that it would never have any impact.
The Administration has yet to be found to have actually ignored court rulings - they’ve always (to date) pointed to a fig leaf of a legal or factual question that allowed them to claim either compliance or ignorance. With one exception - the judge in the Sudan deportation case has basically said they violated his order, and appears ready to possibly put some people in jail.

But in the current fantasy world we are in, up is down, the sun sets in the east, water is dry, etc, etc.
The evidence is overwhelming, all one has to do is watch their pathetic job performance, none of appointees have shown any skill or talent on the job.
The next fairy tale will be told when the national debt explodes, while we are being told that spending has been drastically cut. Can put the graph of the debt going up and up, and they will come up with a million fake excuses for the data being fake news.
It’s almost like Americans are on a hallucinogenic drug trip.

Yes, indeed. As the POTUS complained about giving deportees “legal due process”, words to the effect it would take a long time and cost a lot, too much of a “burden”.

Leap, someone hasn’t figured out that Kamala was the nominee, not Joe. And that Kamala wiped the floor with Trump badly. So badly he refused to do any more debates. And let’s add in the fact Trump is showing obvious dementia now everytime he speaks.
He is going to be 25A’d before the end of the year, which was the plan. JD was always the candidate they wanted in, Trump was the means to get that done.
