When does the “Stockholm Syndrome” kick in?

Equip Social Security recipients with AK-47s and the current administration may be required to change their ways–or else. Remember: Lots of vets get benefits too. Many of them, shall we say, are well-versed in “Art of the Deal”–as they will be holding the deal-making tool(s).
They will be told that" it’s the fault of the entities preventing DOGE having all your personal information". “TIG is the good guy, trying to root out fraud”, they will be told.

They tend to ignore what they are told when they know it is a lie. And they KNOW that is a lie. So, lead lunch?
Glen Campbell, what an artist.
“ If I listened long enough to you
I’d find a way to believe that it’s all true
Knowing that you lied
Straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe”
It was a hit for the Carpenters too.
Steve
Rod Stewart took it to the charts, too.
Beat me to it. I’m listening now. Even Neil Young covered it. I didn’t know, or forgot, he wrote If I Were A Carpenter and Bird On A Wire, two other good ones.
As predicted, anyone who loses their Social Security benefits will be labeled a “fraud”. So the base will cheer at “frauds” being removed from the SS system.
“Anybody who’s been in the payment system and the processes, who knows the easiest way to find the fraudster is to stop payments and listen, because whoever screams is the one stealing,” he said. “Because my mother-in-law’s not calling, come on, your mother, 80-year-olds, 90-year-olds, they trust the government.”
“So, the people who are getting that free money, stealing the money, inappropriately, getting the money, have an inside person who’s routing the money,” he said. “They are going to yell and scream.”
So, if SS stops payments, the honest people will accept it. Anyone who complains will be investigated for fraud. Nice system/sarcasm

Hardin did write If I Were a Carpenter, but Bird On a Wire is by Leonard Cohen.

Let’s see if he remembers United Healthcare’s problem with that claim. One less claimant…
