ah @Tamhas pointed at the court as being irrational. I am pointing at the ideology that gets them there. The ideology has public support.
It is a mess but that amount of irrational beliefs and actions would be. Our system institutionalized it as bureaucratic overhead.
So, again, you said that.

To clarify what I disagree with has to do with global thinking.
Global thinking points to a rational response. That is demand-side economic ideology.
The irrational can become a gift giving way to the rational. The bigger picture.
The Supreme Court isn’t a collective ideology. The Court was fashioned by One Man, and confirmed in the Senate by an old turtle.

No. The GOP controls the House. They’re not going to take up an impeachment resolution, even though odds are that someone in the opposing party will try to introduce one.

Nah, that won’t happen, either - for the same reason they didn’t do it while Biden was in office. They don’t have the votes. When all is said and done, the Democrats will have picked up either 1 or 2 seats in the House - giving the GOP an even narrower majority than they had last Congress. They just don’t have a big enough majority in the House to get something like that done - and certainly not in the first few months, when they’ll be down a few seats due to vacancies.

Yeah, but you can’t put on the show if you don’t have the votes. They didn’t impeach Biden in 2023 or 2024 because they didn’t have the votes, and they’re just as unlikely to have them this time around.
They also didn’t know who would be POTUS in 25. Now they know. Now, some, like the conspiracy theorists who insist the entire 46 administration was illegitimate, have a chance to smear him.
For some, simply winning is not enough.
