with extra verbiage to satisfy the bots.
Who says that a grand jury in Florida can’t get it right. LOL
Andy
So much funny! Da-dum-dum.
There may be folks too young to realize the significance of “dum-de-dumdum” Folks my age knew, when we heard that, the boom was about to fall on a perp.
And let’s not forget “Just the facts, ma’am.”
Asked by a person actually capable of discerning fact from fiction.

“I am an innocent man”.
I read that somewhere today. Good for a laugh.
How did Billy Joel get in to this discussion?
Steve
Not to quibble, but 38.
Yes, 38: (I kept seeing 37, but finally had time to find the details.)
31 counts
Related to withholding national defense information
One count against Mr. Trump for each document he was alleged to have kept in his possession.
5 counts
Related to concealing possession of classified documents
Among them are counts of conspiracy to obstruct justice and withholding documents and records, levied against both Mr. Trump and an aide, Walt Nauta.
2 counts
False statements
Related to statements to the F.B.I. by Mr. Trump and an aide, Walt Nauta.
“I am an innocent man”…the peanut gallery is rolling their eyes.
In a 93-page ruling, District Judge Aileen Cannon said the appointment of special counsel Jack Smith violated the Constitution. She did not rule on whether Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents was proper or not.
DB2
Isn’t Smith prosecuting the election interference case too? So they are both stalled, until SCOTUS refuses to hear a challenge, or affirms Cannon’s ruling, and both cases go away.
Steve
At least some people know what they’re getting paid for
Yes, he is the special investigator on that as well, so there may be more tossing to come.
DB2
However, Smith’s case against Trump in the DC circuit with Judge Tanya Chutkan remains active and unaffected by this ruling. Chutkan has already dismissed a similar motion challenging Smith’s standing in that case.
DB2
Seems that someone will file a motion for a stay, until an appeal of Cannon’s order is ruled on. I don’t see how one case can proceed, given the judge in the other case has ruled the prosecutor has no authority to prosecute.
Steve
Something mentally disturbed about this sort of thing. Cheerleading of a different sort.
