Most large public facilities funded by taxpayers (e.g., sports stadiums, airline terminals, etc. ) are subject to laws that prohibit the price gouging of captive consumers (i.e., those on the wrong side of the stadium ticket taker, or the TSA checkpoint at the airport)
Because of the bipartisan culture of corruption, these laws are rarely enforced.
I haven’t been to a live sporting event in about 20 years since I refuse to be price-gouged.
