SWKS is on sale

Shares of SWKS are trading around $86 a share which is about a 7% drop from yesterday. Any news that is driving this decline? I took advantage of the drop to add to my position.

A noted short seller, Bill Fleckinstein, said on CNBC last night that he was short the semi-conductors including Swks. I am guessing that this may have prompted some of the selling. What do others think?

I saw that as well on Fast Money. Basic thesis was that the semi-conductor business/index is weak compared to the market. Apple i-phone shipments missed and the back half of the year will hard to meet with tough comparisons. Also mentioned being short QCOM, NXPI and INTC.

Perception is reality right now…

Yep. I think it is a buy here… unfortunately I have to discuss it with my wife before taking any action.

I had not bought yet because I didn’t have any cash sitting around. Now that I do I will probably add some SWKS to the portfolio.

"The China market doesn’t look so good and neither does SWKS.
I sold last week."

"I think this is another case of misunderstanding a “fact”.
This is “sales to China”… Real question is, what percentage of stuff using SWKS chips are sold to end users in China as opposed to the chips being sold to Chinese companies, used by assemblers in China, and then exported around the world."

That may be the right question. What I understand is that China is intent on and currently in transition from an export driven to an internal consumption economy.

“Any idea what’s up with the SWKS slippage? Just normal volatility or is there a short attack?”

No speak of a short attack in replies [which were more about harvesting hay than any possible issue w/SWKS].

This is not a pretty picture:
