If a work week is 21 shifts, 93% calculates to 19.5 shifts per week. Plant will be down one day and a half per week.

So, Tesla is projecting they’ll average 20,500 vehicles per week as opposed to the 22,000 maximum output. This sounds to me like they are just being properly conservative in their projections. There’s always a holdup in projection for some reason or another over a few months time, isn’t there? Looks like they are just building in a little flexibility to have some normal downtime without messing up people’s expectations.
