They're rioting in factories

Demonstrations and civil unrest are expanding throughout China as the economic consequences of Trump’s tariffs push manufacturing industries towards collapse, resulting in factory shutdowns and leaving countless workers without wages.

This is the part that evokes skepticism: "according to a NewsMax "report.

That and, since when do they allow widespread civil unrest in China?
Sounds like a rather emotional article. Besides none of that tariff stuff has really even happened yet

Except that civil protest did result in the end to Covid restrictions. During their universal lockdown there was a fire in an apartment where people could not escape due to the lockdown. Protest was loud and public. Lockdown soon ended.

There was a news item that Chinese factories were closing down due to lack of ethane (a petrochemical feedstock). I see that a few days ago China has apparently dropped the tariff on ethane.

The Chinese protest endlessly. There is a price to pay for protesting.

We took an interesting half step towards a controlled society. Trying looking for articles about SK supplying Ukraine with weapons. Google. There is nothing past last November in the news. Odd?

Yes, Germany is indeed purchasing weapons from various sources, including South Korea (SK). While not explicitly stated, Germany’s recent defense spending and acquisitions, particularly in the realm of air defense and missile systems, have involved collaborations and purchases from South Korea and other international partners.

Here’s a more detailed look:

Germany is a leader in the ESSI, a collaborative effort involving multiple European nations to jointly procure air defense and missile systems. This initiative could involve acquiring systems from various countries, including South Korea, according to The War Zone and other sources.

  • Specific Examples:

    • Rheinmetall Skyranger: Germany is acquiring the Skyranger 30 air defense system from Rheinmetall. This system, mounted on Boxer armored fighting vehicles, includes a sensor suite, a 30-millimeter cannon, and Stinger surface-to-air missiles.
    • Arrow 3 Missile Defense System: The War Zone reports that Germany is also considering the Arrow 3 missile defense system, which could be a cornerstone of the ESSI.
  • Joint Procurement and Collaboration:

The ESSI emphasizes joint procurement and the development of European air defense capabilities, which may involve cooperation with South Korea and other nations.

In essence, Germany’s approach to modernizing its defense capabilities involves a mix of domestic production (like the Skyranger), collaborations with other European countries (like the ESSI), and potentially, acquisitions from nations like South Korea.

Ethane comes from “wet” natural gas and is usually cracked to ethylene. Ethylene is the raw material for many petrochemical–especially polyethylene plastic but also the E in PET plastic.

Slow down in west coast imports is already apparent. Importers built inventory in anticipation of tariffs. Now they wait to see how things develop. It is far more than ethane shortage. Temu has stopped shipping clothing.

On a story sourced from “The Lion”, funded by the Herzog institute, which I’ve never heard of. NewsMax I have heard of, but not in a good way.

I’m sure there will be some disruption in China, it’s inevitable; whether it produces whatever it is that the administration is trying to produce is a different thing, perhaps.

It is true one of these demonstration have made the main stream news outlet.
There are other news reports.

China does keep a firm grip on what is reported.
We do not know the accuracy of economic or population figures from China data. Or actual number of Chinese that died from Covid.

But some negative news does leak out such as ghost cities or suicide at Foxcom factories.
I ran across this old news story showing how the Chinese government is using old US JC tactics in subduing protests.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.LOL
