I am not expert at any of this, but perhaps someone with expertise could enlighten us as to the implications for TMDX of this procedure.

I recently asked TMDX’s IR contact about this.

Here was my question: What is the long-term vision for the company with the risks of artificial organs?

And here was their concise answer: TransMedics is supportive of the evolution of both xenotransplantation and artificial organ transplant. This would remove the current limit on transplants of the # of donors. These organs would need preservation with a system like the OCS.

Seems like they are confident that OCS will still be utilized though it’s certainly something to monitor closely.
