Treasury Department Payment System

Unelected immigrant gains access to sensitive system that pays out more than $6 trillion a year? Nothing good can come of this.

David Lebryk, the top-ranking career U.S. Treasury Department official, will leave following a clash with allies of billionaire and Trump adviser Elon Musk over payment system access, the Washington Post reported on Friday.

The report, citing three people with knowledge of the matter, said Lebryk and Musk’s surrogates clashed over access to a sensitive system used to pay out more than $6 trillion a year in Social Security and Medicare benefits as well as federal salaries, government contract payments and tax refunds.

It was unclear why the team tied to Musk, who U.S. President Donald Trump has tasked with overhauling the government, sought access to the payment system.

Imagine dark and terrible things. Imagine light and wonderful things.

Regardless, seek to understand first.

Is there an opportunity here? It starts with some form of forensics, which requires access to understand.

Ok give me access, I want to be able to understand.

You’re talking to someone who understands accounting forensics and has used them, as an independent auditor, to assess whether payment systems are functioning as they were designed to.

There are a myriad of tests and procedures (including 3rd party verifications) to ensure a system is functioning as it is intended. And you can be sure that a system such as the one being discussed (over $6 trillion I payments annually) is being audited 24x7, with tons of checks and balances.

However, there is no reason to give some outside party access to the system in order to accomplish this. In fact, the last thing you want to do is to give access to the system to some outside party. Giving someone like that access to the system is fraught with unnecessary risks.

Giving access to a system of this magnitude for a fishing expedition is just plain foolhardy.

Looting the US treasury is the ultimate goal here.

Especially with the amount of money involved and the person requesting access has not even been vetted, nor is he actually running a department that is constitutionally valid IE criminal.

You forgot to mention, “the unelected immigrant” who is a German far-right AfD party member and recently advocated purging the NotSee final solution from German History Books. According to the immigrant, the “so-called” holocaust was not really an event that should be remembered.
