Trudeau announces tariff's

Considering that Canada is “competition” in many arenas, it might be in the interest of the USA for Trudeau, or at least his party, to remain in power. That way Canada can keep its stability (aka lack of growth) and be a weaker competitor for a little longer.

I don’t think we have to worry about competition from Canada yet because we have a weak president now that can’t even do what he says. IE Tariffs are already being forgotten.

Not on Wall Street.

Not in Canada and Mexico.

Just in the Oval Office.

oh look something shiny…

By the way today is shaping up as a reality day.

Canada’s Liberals were heading into a crushing defeat. Then came Trump.

Liberals were headed for a wipeout. But after Trump ramped up his attacks, they reversed a 20-point polling deficit and are neck-and-neck with the Conservatives.

TORONTO — Before Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Jan. 6 that he intended to resign, his Liberals were headed for a wipeout, trailing the Conservatives for more than a year. The only question was just how big that defeat would be.
Now, the race has turned competitive — thanks in part to President Donald Trump.
It’s a sign of how Trump’s tariffs on Canadian goods and vows to make Canada the 51st state have upended the national debate here, stirring a level of fury among Canadians that is hard to overstate, pushing views of the United States to a new low and scrambling the country’s politics.

Gosh, Canadians being friendly good neighbors AND proudly patriotic comes as a surprise to some USAians, including in the White House and Congress. Idiots.
