Ukrainian attacks on Russian radar sites could start nuclear war

MIT arms expert explains that, unlike the US, Russian doesn’t have satellites in space that warn them of a missile launch. All Russia has is ground based radar. Ukraine is attacking these sites, leaving Russia blind.

Hang on there Cochise. Given Russia’s decades long experience in orbiting packages, I find it inconceivable that they do not have surveillance satellites.

So, what is the alternate motive for flogging a dubious narrative? Trying to get the US to stop shipping hardware to Ukraine? Wouldn’t that be convenient?

I am pretty sure Russia Uses flag signaling. After all they can’t get to space and they weren’t taking American Astronauts into space. That was fake news.

I was personally actually in that missile warning/space object sorting & cataloging business. He sounds like a 9/11 Truther. Saying just enough things here and there to sound credible but leaving out “the rest of the story”, and in the end it’s bull. The Russian’s, even if they didn’t have a space based dual phenomenology missile warning capability, blowing up one radar station would not leave them blind. This is an unexplained assertion left unchallenged by the media types.

Also, that bizarre story about some scientists sending up a routine atmospheric data collection rocket and looked like/could have looked like a precursor missile raid but the world was saved by some Russian who waited a minute and saw the rocket body start to fall and said, OK not an attack. Carry on. 1950’s sci-fi movie stuff to advance the plot because nothing works in real life the way the screen writers want it to. Not how it works. None will think it’s an attack unless they get an actual indication of attack. Now, unfortunately I don’t think I can tell you how the system actually works including the political safeguards in effect for almost 60 years now. Yes, we were that smart and so were the Russians, even back then. So, make of all this what you will.

Also: Intestinally processed media trick — “Nuclear radar station.” Made-up word intended to deceive and incite. The message is the massage (No Marshall McLuhan didn’t say that)

TIL: Intestinally is not in TMF’s dictionary. Something new every day.

Maybe you need advanced semi-conductor chips and optical sensors to make a satellite that detects ICBM launches? – not just the ability to put a payload in orbit.

Presumably the Professor knows what technology is available to the Russians.

But I agree that the Professors agenda (anti-nuclear war), is very different from the for-profit US war machine.

Correct, blowing up one won’t leave them blind. But how about if you blow up 30% of their radar sites? At what point does Russia act? That’s what the Professor is talking about.

Some Americans are choosing stupid to the bone right now. They would love the absolute ignorance of lapping this up.

As for the subject line or thread title…Putin has no nuclear targets to hit in this war. Besides if he does launch a nuke we will get him quickly. No dictator launches and lives. An example will be made the day that happens.

Actually the elite know we can never fight a nuclear war. The planet would be uninhabitable. The leaders would die a few weeks later in more misery than the rest of us who perish the same day the war takes place. I am only talking a handful of explosions.

That is why if Putin ever uses one nuclear warhead he will be taken out just as fast. First it stops any further explosions. Second it is like putting a head on a spike.

The agenda is pretty clear. For two years, the US has followed an incremental approach to supplying arms to Ukraine, because of a fear of provoking Russia. Now, after two years, Ukraine is obtaining weapons that can reach into Russia. So amp up the fear of a nuclear strike, if targets in Russia are hit by conventional weapons, in hopes the US will cut off arms supplies, or, at the least, force Ukraine back to not hitting anything more than a couple miles back from the front line. This is the threat narrative Putin has been promoting from the start.

What are the chances the US could force Ukraine to hobble it’s forces, while the Russians freely attack any point in Ukraine?

Eons ago, the Israelis bombed a nuclear reactor in Iraq into rubble. There was much huffing and puffing in the US about US provided arms being used for an offensive operation. I saw a cartoon at that time, of an F-16 with a warning stenciled on it’s side that it was only to be used for defense, with Menachem Begin in the cockpit laffing.

Bingo!!

Politicians say the opposite so as not to lose wavering voters. Why lose an election for doing the right thing?

Ukraine and Gaza are being tied very closely together by Russia right now. With Iran, Putin’s ally, moving to nuclear-grade Uranium or Plutonium things are going to shake out in the coming months.

Putin has no military compass. He can reach or overreach however you would say that, but he has not met the place where we snap back. He is getting there with Iran pushing things in the ME.

Iran is caged in. The Israeli actions forced Iran’s stupid hand. Iran has nothing that can do much to Israel plus they used most of what they had in one day. Their hand is totally tipped so they are reaching for nukes. The timing could not be better. The US and Israel with support from SA and the UAE want to turn over the Iranian/Russian applecart.
