We are all aware of the dramatic impact that Covid-19 has had on the Macro economy. This video helps bring the personal impact of the deaths to us. If made today, the installation would be almost 50% larger.

And that doesn’t count the impact of long Covid on millions. Long COVID has potentially affected up to 23 million Americans, pushing an estimated 1 million people out of work.

And the children orphaned by Covid. One U.S. child loses a parent or caregiver for every four COVID-19-associated deaths. From April 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021, data suggest that more than 140,000 children under age 18 in the United States lost a parent, custodial grandparent, or grandparent caregiver who provided the child’s home and basic needs, including love, security, and daily care.
