Yep!

I expect VW to dial back some of the previously declared plans for EV conversion… probably to their detriment.

And yeah… telling unions they will lose jobs is usually not a way to win their support.

Excluding Chinese firms which I don’t follow, it seems to me that Ford has the best strategy among incumbents to enter the age of EVs. Incumbent’s biggest problem is the pushback from the legacy crowds protecting their turf. By splitting Ford into ‘Ford Blue’ and Ford Model e’ Jim Farley reduces the turf wars, a strategy reminiscent of Lockheed’s Skunk Works.
