We need to be more aware of Quantum computer investments

If you think AI has been huge…you are right…but that can simmer down and stay flat. We find out more this week, isn’t NVDA reporting?

We need quantum computing on our radar. That should be obvious but it is not. More important for our discussion we need to know how quantum computing will pay to invest in. We should be early.

If you think it is important to track it, then do so. How quantum computing will be actually achieved is not yet known.

What materials will bring down the cost is coming into focus but what it is in design is known.

NVDA offers CUDA-Q

{. NVIDIA CUDA-Q
The high-performance platform for hybrid quantum-classical computing
To do algorithm research and build applications for future quantum advantages, a bridging technology is needed to enable dynamic workflows across disparate system architectures. With a unified and open programming model, NVIDIA CUDA-Q is an open-source platform for integrating and programming quantum processing units (QPUs), GPUs, and CPUs in one system. CUDA-Q enables GPU-accelerated system scalability and performance across heterogeneous QPU, CPU, GPU, and emulated quant. }

I’m Q-illirate.
Perhaps someone with better understanding will chime in and explain if QPUs are actual quantum chips?

And how CUDA-Q fits into that accelerator process?
