We want $80/barrel. Make it happen

After all, they paid for it last summer.

I thought we wanted lower oil prices.

I thought we wanted lower oil prices.

There are two different “we”. One wants cheaper gas at the retail pump. The other “we” has Billions in “protected free speech”.

I’ve been following the oil industry a bit lately because of Buffett’s interest in OXY. The consensus seems to be the industry wants higher prices, not lower prices.

Right on time. The supply will be cut and cut again…and again.

What is a good great depression with cheap oil?

A nice “boiling oil dip” for the leadership who did it.

Of course! Control supply, then turn to the customer and create demand, with higher prices.

Nice business, if you can get it.

We want $800/gallon oil. Watch the swooning…

ConocoPhillips CEO Ryan Lance said Wright and Burgum “understand the business,” describing them as the best energy team the U.S. has seen in decades. TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné said he was “impressed by the quality of our counterparts.” Chevron CEO Mike Wirth said the industry is “seeing some reality come back to the conversation.”

Steve…long CVX and COP

Overlong and repetitive piece about the Alberta Premier’s resistance to pressure from others to use oil exports to the US to hit back for TIG’s tariffs.

What the piece entirely misses is TIG wants Canadian oil cut off, or highly taxed by Canada. Either move would increase profits for US oil producers. Canada has no means to deliver most of it’s oil to any market other than the US. So, an embargo, or heavy taxation, of Canadian exports to the US would only take Canadian oil off the global market, tightening supplies, and causing prices to rise.

Canada will bend and come crawling.

From the Peace crowd. They want peace so they can beat up on their little brothers and pull wings off of flies. They can’t stand up to bullies so they pick on the weak.

Doesn’t make sense for a school teacher in Ohio and Factory worker in PA to subsidize a Canadian’s lifestyle.

Talk to the Nebraska farmers.

Talk to the Nebraska farmers.

The media can always find someone to cry for the camera. We won’t have a real read on what people think of our new, escalated, Shinyness, until November 26.
