What to do with TTD stock’s free fall? Hold or sell? HELP! Losing hope. This is my largest holding.
I don’t own TTD shares. Also, I can’t give individual investing advice.
Within that framework, there are a few things to think about when it comes to your investment:
First, why did you buy your shares? What were the company’s operating prospects that attracted you to it in the first place?
Next, what do those prospects look like now? Does the company’s potential operating future look as bright as it did when you bought those shares? If not, why not?
In addition, if you did not own shares today, would you view the company’s current market price as an attractive price to buy shares?
Personally, I rarely view a major change in price as a reason to buy or sell on its own. Instead, I view it as a signal that the market sees a potential change in the company’s trajectory. I’ll use that signal as a reason to investigate the company’s prospects a bit deeper. It’s the investigation that will typically lead me to make a buy, sell, or do nothing decision.
When it comes to TTD in particular, I would love to understand your perspective of what made it worth becoming your largest investment in the first place.
