Seems the argument TNG is making is that Panama violated the treaty, by handing over operation to the Chinese, even though they didn’t.

Then Panama can document TIG is a DEI hire (who else is *orange? OOPS !! DEI HIRE !!). So he has no authority because ALL “DEI hires” were put on PAID LEAVE–which means he also is on paid leave. He has ZERO authority after that order AND he is going to be let go (FIRED) (per his own Excremental Output).
Seems TNG has found his dumping ground, at least until he invades Panama.
Meanwhile, seems Columbia is pushing back, so has drawn retribution. Seems that Columbian coffee is going to get more expensive. Presumably, the coke doesn’t pay duty.
Rubio’s parents didn’t become U.S. citizens until 1975, four years after he was born in Miami in 1971. Rubio’s parents arrived in the U.S. in 1956 with no claim to refugee status, they arrived undocumented to work in the United States.
According to this blurb, they were accepted as “permanent residents” two years after arriving. So he would qualify as a USian, under the artfully drawn dividing line between “legal permanent” and “illegal or temporary” classes.
According to Marco Rubio, but a few years before he campaigned telling his voters that his parents were refugees from Castro’s Regime. He later said that he didn’t know that his parents came to the US years before Castro’s revolution began. “Oh yeah, My Mom just told me.”
Not sure I believe Marco on his “word”. Why would they wait almost 20 years to become citizens (naturalized)? Especially, why would they wait until after Marco was born?
Either way, they came here as undocumented workers.
It fits the Rubio plan. “Not for you, Just for Me”
A showman joins the show.
“Dr Phil” tagged along in an immigration raid. “No such thing as bad publicity”, they say.
Meanwhile, the “border czar” has set a quota for the number of brown people rounded up each day. So now there is even less incentive to make sure everyone they collar is the sort they say they are looking for. The environment they are setting up sounds like the focus on “body count” in 'Nam, where the GIs counted everything, dead civilians, dead livestock, to meet their “body count” target.
Give him a pass - he was promoted by Oprah, afterall.
Pete
One of the fellows Dr. Phil talked to was from Thailand. He is a convicted sex offender (2006) and was ordered removed from the US in 2009, over 15 years ago.
Given that ICE is arresting about 1000 a day this week it would seem they have known where these guys are but haven’t been allowed to arrest them.
DB2
Except for the other 81,312 arrests in 2024 that were of noncitizens with criminal convictions or pending charges. It wasn’t as if ICE was doing nothing these past few years.
Pete
If so, then what was Trump’s excuse during his first term? You stated that this guy has had an order for removal from 2009…
It’s true that under the previous administration deportation were in record number, The US deported more than 142,000 immigrants in fiscal year 2023, nearly double the number from the year before.
However, this election was mostly about immigration control at the border. During the same year (2023) 18k families were deported, but that is while 621,000 parents and children taken into custody at the border (during the same period) were released to await a court date.

I am a sharp critic of the rhetoric surrounding immigration at the border, especially that from the current folks in the White House. But you have to agree, deportation and reduced immigration was what voters want to see as evidenced from the 2024 election. It doesn’t matter what happened in the past, what Trump was doing in 2019 or what Biden was doing in 2023. In the here and now, the American public wants to see plane loads of immigrants deported.
Trump campaigned on this. Trump made promises loudly about deporting millions and the public voted for it.
Yup. And he is making sure the mob is getting the show they voted for.
Steve
That’s true, and they certainly seem to be doing more now.
DB2
It’s just an extension of The Apprentice.
They are giving the mob the show they voted for.
Federal agents in immigration operations told to be camera-ready as hundreds arrested
The …administration’s weekend immigration sweeps that included nearly 1,000 arrests and have chilled many immigrant communities were followed by another blitz: A barrage of video and photos from the federal government showing agents in tactical gear and vests emblazoned with “Police ICE” and “Homeland Security” taking cuffed suspects away.
“I think it’s done for the show…,” said (Illinois Attorney General) Raoul.
Teams across the country have been given various quotas for the number of so-called “high-profile” immigration sweeps they should conduct each month, one source said, with the goal being to beat the number of administrative arrests made by Immigration and Customs Enforcement last year.

And, if they can’t find enough illegal “criminals” for the cameras, they can start revoking citizenship from people who came here legally, and became naturalized citizens. What was that Muslim realtor in Dearborn, who, iirc, was born in Syria, saying about he can’t be deported because he owns a house, and a business, and pays taxes?
Steve
And the wife and parents of a president…oh, wait, they’re “white”.
Pete
Yup. they would not be in a mass demonstration in Dearborn, protesting the Pals in Gaza being forced into a concentration camp in the Negev, like the first son in law proposed.
