Appointment for adding the SiriusXM radio is Tuesday, 1/25, hopefully they can use the existing OEM Sirius antenna, I asked them to try for it, so we’ll see…
While CarPlay works, it’s a PITA, if not impossible while driving, set it up all over agin when returning from errands, be simpler to have in permanently installed…
Turns out the old unit is still in place, so is the antenna cable, so a matter of adapters, whatever…
Progress… I think…

Worked out great, did the job, using the OE antenna as I wanted, when the fellow added the SiusXM module, Tuesday… So pretty much plug n play for the hardware… Only charged me $60 labor, other parts and such brought it to $160 and out the door…
Activating, a little hassle as what I had written as my ID & password didn’t work, so a call to SiriusXM settled that, I’d used a different login, back sometime after 2016, but hadn’t updated my notes…
Then the fun of sorting out how to find, set buttons for my favorite channels, I had an old list, many wrong, but online was a current listing…
Another headache, while I was on the phone, while activating, when I came to the truck, turned on the Alpine, it took over the phone call! So I couldn’t see the Sirius screens! Had to shut off Bluetooth on both to escape and not drop the call… But the lady was patient, helped me through it all… Iana I think her name was, I asked where she was, and she was out in the Philippines! Talked a bit about it, and that I have several Philippine ladies in the family, nephews seem to have made a habit of it! Good folks…
Anyway, today I set up more stuff, all is well, I can tuck all the paperwork away…
