They will have a lot of stranded investment, because the cars will become unsaleable. See the other thread about the automakers making EVs more attractively priced. They are probably trying to clear inventory.

Because we are in the hands of an openly, proudly, EV-hostile regime. Beyond repealing all the incentives, there are bills in Congress to add surcharges to the price of EVs.
