The USA will be lucky to have oil and gas to buy. We may be running out here in the UK
We have our own oil and gas that we don’t use and have become reliant on imports - brilliant leadership:
It has exposed not just Britain’s dangerous reliance on imported energy but also, some say, the decades of naivety about energy that left the UK in such a precarious position.
Hammered by carbon taxes and other levies, 14 UK refineries have shut down since the 1970s. Five of them have closed since 2000, of which two failed just last year.
