Wow, UnitedHealthCare CEO targeted and shot dead in NYC

Capitalism is ruthless. This is how startups innovate and disrupt. This is how you lift millions out of poverty.

Most of you are preaching socialism and have a victim mentality.

It’s a macro economics board…doy. It’s impossible to build lasting prosperity if only the rich benefit…double doy.

So sorry to interrupt your Ayn Rand fantasy.

Unfettered capitalism is anarchy.

That’s why we have standards in place. You know, laws like antitrust laws. Accountants have to follow GAAP. Only CPAs can issue certain financial statements. Different regulations that have to be adhered depending on the type of company. OSHA safety regs. Etc, etc, etc.

Somehow we’ve built the strongest economy the world has ever seen because of these standards.

Do you think we just fell out of a coconut tree?

Grow up.

Standards and regulations are important. However, giving government ALL the credit for American private innovation is a dumb argument. So many stupid and ignorant views on this board.

It is also abhorrent the morbid explanation of the killing of the rich CEO.

What about the killing by the CEO (and his henchmen) of PAYING customers? Hmmm…

Again pointing at others just means you have most of your fingers pointing back at you.

It is garbage assumptions about everyone else.

You expect the military to back up capitalism. The military is socialism.

If you do not know basic economics you might want to stop posting here.

Free speech isn’t always practiced responsibly. Your heavy X use hasn’t taught you this?

Could we have a moment of Prayer for the Health Care industry?

I would send thoughts and prayers, but they are out of network.

Free speech, yes but people supporting and celebrating the killing of the CEO are repulsive and abhorrent.

Really? really? Not that I disagree with that statement but I am sure you supported Alex Jones and probably even thought the repulsive things he said about Sandy Hook was well within his freedom of speech. Otherwise people like him would never have podcasts.

No, I don’t. You guys are getting more and more intolerant.

Or it is a sign of the times. And how cultural/societal values are changing in today’s world economy. If the society had appropriate values in most people, then the idea of killing would be abhorrent. The simple fact the planned use of violence–announced by an elected official and expressly supported by those who elected that official–is irrefutable proof it is condoned by govt. So the use of deadly force by the public is–and always has been (for decades/centuries)–acknowledged and accepted.

So you think because I don’t support Alex Jones that I am intolerant or that because I don’t believe what you believe that I am intolerant? Do you even understand what intolerant means? Tell me you never listened to Alex Jones.

You can’t come on here and tell everyone that they are intolerant or try to take the upper ground when you brag you voted for a rapist. It just doesn’t work anymore. You can disagree with anyone but throwing around slurs just doesn’t work.

Like the chants of “lock her/them up”, for daring to have a different opinion?

The “lock him up” chants got LOTS of panties riled up (or knotted in a twist).
