You can only push people so far

Sen. Elizabeth Warren delivers boldest statement yet by an elected official on CEO killing.

I believe her more corporate-friendly colleagues (who are taking the drug and insurance money) are forcing her to walk it back.

A couple days ago, I posted a link about Warren and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau being targeted by DOGE. My post was purged.

So, do you think that was done by “corporate-friendly colleagues”?

“Corporate-friendly colleagues" are 100% of the GOP and 90% of the DEMs – they’re all on the take.

I pretty sure we’ll see her “revise and extend” her remarks. {{ LOL }}

She already has. Whether the pressure comes from “corporate friendly colleagues” or the other 10% of DEM’s, it’s bad for the party if a Senator makes statements that can potentially framed as supporting the premeditated murder of someone. She said something that was politically damaging, and she had to walk it back. Because it was politically damaging to say it that way, not because her “corporate-friendly colleagues” can make her change how she regards the health care industry.

The public hates the walk it back stuff.

I can point to one guy who never walks back anything without corruptly getting paid to do so. He rubs your face in it while doubling down. His folks like it that way.

@albaby1 You personally did you need her to walk that back? Was your professionalism really that upset? I doubt it.

Was it really politically damaging? Not for one minute. Imagination that it was is nonsense. Paranoia.

Last I knew if a crumb fell to the ground we walked it back. And we have zero to show for it. In the UK it is the centerist party that never rules.

Who would you consider “not on the take”? Heck, even Bernie supports the piggish F-35 because it gives some of his supporters jobs.

She might as well go for it. The threat of a primary is the promise of one.

Thinking this over, all of the R’s will be primaried for or against TFG he will mess with them for the sake of losing them all. He wants his yes men only. Not just yes men.

I didn’t hear Warren endorse murder. She said people are justifiably angry at the behavior of health insurance CEOs.

There’s a big push in corporate media to not discuss the reason Thompson was killed (i.e., the massive corruption in the health insurance industry that’s literally killing customers and patients.)

If they’re successful in burying it, they’ll kill even more people.

Everyone supports the employers in their district/state. I’ll bet Al Franken was a big United Healthcare supporter since it’s such a large employer in the State of Minnesota.

That some rich cow manure you are shoveling there. The suspect had NO REASON to select this CEO to murder - neither he nor his mother even had UHC insurance.

No, the reason he was killed was because some nut job wanted to murder someone and picked this CEO, apparently based on access, to carry out his rage.

Stop trying to justify it.

If true that certainly sheds light on the chatter about the murder.

The suspect Luigi is likely suffering from schizophrenia or another mental illness. I don’t see an ivy league, Masters in Engineering level of planning in his activities.

The anger against the corruption in the health insurance industry that he brought to the surface by doing the murder is going to need to be addressed. I don’t think it’s going away.

On the Elizabeth Warren statement, I’m pretty sure Corporate DEMs have heard from the half dozen lobbyists assigned to each of them. Here’s a hilarious video of MIT-trained, Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie telling Tucker Carlson about the visit he got from “his AIPAC guy” after he voted against funding the genocide in Gaza. {{ LOL }}

This guy is a stupid criminal.
Left is hailing him as a hero celebrating violence.
Despicable.

Luigi is obviously mentally ill. It’s likely his wealthy Republican family will get him set to a mental hospital rather than prison.

The Left isn’t celebrating violence. They’re complaining about the massive corruption in the health insurance industry that’s likely killing thousands of people per year.

It is never going to be justifiable.

Meanwhile we found out the country is sick of the crap.

We don’t know that.

Plenty of angry murders in prison are not mentally ill.

I would argue that anyone who commits murder is mentally ill.

Pakman did a piece tonight about the Fox Noise talking heads, condemning the guy who shot a CEO, and then praising the guy who held a guy in a chokehold, until he died, on a subway train.

There is a difference between justifying murder and trying to understand the motive for murder.
