Rapid leaps in AI’s capabilities are upending jobs in everything from call centres to copywriting and coding. And law, consulting and finance could be next.

Not better, CHEAPER!
The Captain
It seems that most of the jobs at risk are white collar professionals.
Becoming a builder, electrician, plumber, etc could be a better career move.
Only until humanoid robots take those jobs as well.
The Captain
It is a bad labor market. AI is often an expensive doorstop.
Surly he was just using his initiative ![]()
A senior accountant has been fined after using artificial intelligence to cheat while completing a training course about AI.
A partner at KPMG Australia was handed a A$10,000 (£5,200) fine after putting documents into an AI tool to find answers.
Just imagine what is going to happen to the wages in those industries once more people start trying to take those jobs…. (hint: it will go down).

I’m not too sure that there will be a large number of people going for jobs like that. I’m from the UK and it is impossible to suggest to younger people that not doing that degree might be a good idea. I recently tried with a young relative, but they opted for a history degree at an out of the way university. She is very young and bright but financially illiterate.
Working manually is seen as somehow failing in the UK.
I’m a retired Chartered Accountant and saw many trades people earning substantial incomes.
Edit
Just seen this. A London plumber becomes a multi-millionaire and warns against getting a university degree:
Young people should learn a trade rather than go to university to survive artificial intelligence (AI), according to the founder of Pimlico Plumbers.
Charlie Mullins said many students were “being misled that they’ll get the job because they’ve got a degree”.
“I can’t quite get why a youngster would sign up for a degree knowing that AI is going to possibly lose them their job in five years,” he told The Telegraph.

I’m sure in time we will have robot plumbers and electricians but these will be the last jobs to ‘fall’ to AI
Some degrees are already antiquated.
I do not understand how people borrow to get a marketing degree. Waste of time and money.
