I first wrote about my big four positions: BOFI, SWKS, CELG, and SKX, which averaged about 12.5% each of my total portfolio.
My next four positions in order are
AIOCF
WAB
POL
CRTO
These are much smaller positions and average about 6% each.
Avigilon – We have talked quite a bit about Avigilon in many threads. They are a Canadian company that manufactures end to end surveillance systems. They are growing revenues 40% to 60% every quarter but in the past two quarters EPS growth has slowed because they are trying to capture first mover territory. They have 27 straight quarters of year-over-year gains. At todays close their PE is 19.
Wabtec started out doing railway airbrakes, but they now sell all kinds of railroad equipment and have a huge replacement part market, which is a form of renewable income. WAB is the only company on any US market whose stock price has risen every year of this century (right through the various recessions). Their sales and earnings have been up (about 15-25%) every quarter of the 15 quarters I’ve kept track of them. They make a lot of acquisitions. Their PE is 25.
POL and CRTO are relatively new positions for me and I wrote them each up in the past two months or so, so I won’t repeat myself.

Hi Saul,
Can you tell us a bit about the POL investment case?

Not Saul, obviously, but this may help get you started on POL:

Saul,
Thanks for putting this up. A few of the positions I was already invested, and a number of them I have invested after following the discussions.
WAB and POL are real gems. WAB was long time SA rec, but without an evangelist, it had fallen off my radar.
Also have added SWKS and smaller positions of XPO, CRTO and PFIE, AIOCF

Hi Swapsan, Glad you liked some of my stocks. WAB certainly is still a MF SA recommendation of course, but there is very little mention around it because it’s not sexy.

I have to disagree. This chart IS sexy.

Hi FrickiNFool,
Sometimes I do wish I had put all my money in WAB a couple of years ago.
