And now ... a weekly dividend payout!

A couple of my holdings have a monthly payout. In mid-September 2024, one of them appeared to pay a lower dividend. But wait, … they changed something. The payout frequency.

Ready for this ETF name?
YieldMax Magnificent 7 Fund of Option Income ETFs, or ticker YMAG

https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/YMAG/history/

Magnificent 7 stocks are, of course, Alphabet (GOOG), Microsoft (MSFT), Apple (AAPL), Tesla (TSLA), Amazon (AMZN), Meta Platforms (META) & Nvidia (NVDA).

Two payouts in 7 days is hardly an indicator of a long term trend. But, YMAG apparently want to give the idea a try.

Hi @HohumYNWA,

YMAX also is doing this.

All of the dividends of the component ETF’s used to be paid on the same day.

Now they are split into 4 groups so the ETF’s that hold them will pay out each time the components do.

So 4 payments per month for YMAG and YMAX.

Here’s the schedule and groups:

Does that help you?

@gdett2 - Thanks for the additional color.

I was not aware that YMAX has made a similar switch.

Mapping the seven component ETFs
Group A - Google, Tesla
Group B - Nvidia, Facebook/Meta
Group C - Microsoft
Group D - Amazon, Apple
Obviously, the YMAG payout is going to be dependent on % of the individual company ETFs. But, will this impact the week 3 payout more?
