**Nothing like a wagon-load of paper bills being worth less than a wagon-load of goat crap.**
**Zimbabwe is our next stop.**

**The federal dollar has been a continuous ruin since it was invented.**
**No other government policy has been as harmful or caused more damage to the American way of life than Abe Lincon's greenback.**

**Does that year at the bottom say 1878? Maybe 1928?**

Completely ignoring the fact that the dollar is the cornerstone of the global economy; that we have never experienced anything remotely close to Zimbabwe; that the “continuous ruin” has produced the richest, most vibrant economy in the history of the world; or that “inflation” or “money printing’ had nothing to do with The Long Depression or the Great Depression.

But for the record <<<Oh look, the sky is falling!>> There. Now I feel part of the club.

The dichotomy of the thought process of some Americans is confusing.
On the 1 hand, America is the greatest country and people that have ever existed.
On the other hand, America in proximity to Zimbabwe, life as we know it is ending.

People need to really start vetting the “news” that they ingest, or we will drag
America down into the gutter, like some feel we already are.

I lived through the 70s and 80s when Treasury Bills hit 13%.

So we got 8%. I’d not be happy if it lasts for years and years, but I survived six years of high inflation before - - and the world didn’t end. Nor did we need wheelbarrows to haul the money around.

Maybe this is the thing that will finally kill the penny.

I’ll take the small victories where I can find them.

I’ve paid cash one time in the past year. Still have the change sitting on the dresser. It was a two buck and change purchase at a convenience store.

What’s coins?

Everything I buy is credit card… everything…or if on line, Paypal.

I don’t even use ‘bills’ as in dollar bills, $2 bills, fives, tens… do have a few dollars in my wallet but they stay there…forever it seems.

While not perfect, America still better than most.

In Venezuela they were using paper currency to make Origami.

At one time I took a bunch of bills to deposit in my bank account. The bank no longer accepted older, low denomination bills. I gave them to a beggar who could still use them on the street.

The man sitting on the pile of currency reminded me of someone and it just came to me that it’s this man from the BIS:

If you ever travel to Zimbabwe, only take ones and fives. It took me more then a day to get change for a 100$ to give out as tips at The Elephant Camp. Their banks do not have cash, their ATMs don’t have cash. The workers are all paid in Zimbabwe dollars via an app, so they can earn money but cannot spend their money outside of Zimbabwe. A person at the resort literally had to travel to Botswana to get me change. Victoria falls is definitely worth the trouble of going and the Elephant Camp (luxury tents) was a great place to stay.
