Reminds me of the first smart bombs. They trained pigeons to peck at a screen in return for a reward. Then they put them at the front end of a bomb, and the pecking guided the tail fins on the bomb to make it glide to the target accurately.

Not much of a reward for the pigeons for a job well done, tho.
