Sweden and Finland are under threat. They will need to coordinate privately getting NATO troops as protection in their countries as they vote on deciding if to join NATO.
If Sweden moves first Finland might be attacked by Russia.
I have never met a NATO planner in person. I will not be surprised if this unfolds differently than anyone currently expects. Usually in peaceful times NATO membership is decided differently.

I doubt Russia wants a two-front war, but crazier things have happened. Maybe that’s why he’s buying mercenaries, so he can keep the local boys for a Finnish excursion.

I do not remember how many men Putin has in his military but believe the 190k in Ukraine is only a partial force for Russia. Putin is playing deadman's bluff.
