It didn’t take long for the feds or state to process our tax payment which was paid by check. State has processed our tax return but the IRS hasn’t.
More out of curiosity, I’m tracking how long it will take for our federal tax return to be shown as processed. Taxes are paid and payment recorded.
Last year I was recovering from surgery and missed a 1099 which triggered an additional $18 in taxes.
I don’t know if that would trigger additional review this year. All our income is from sources that are automatically reported to the IRS and we take the standard deduction. Not much to audit.
