Facebook Customer Service

I bought an Oculus Rift VR headset a little over 3 years ago. A few days ago the handheld touch controllers failed. I exchanged a couple of emails with them, told them I couldn’t find my BestBuy receipt of purchase, and Facebook is still sending me a new pair, no charge.

I’ve never gotten this kind of treatment from a health insurer.

No. Likely the value of every Metaverse customer they can monetize. (I don’t use facebook, but I have an account.)

It’s got to be an average of $500 to $1,000 per customer at least. So spending $100 to send me a couple of controllers rather than have me get pissed off and buy a HIVE VR system to replace it was a good investment.

That’s actually a drawback of the new Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset. You must have a facebook account to make it work. And if you object to facebook, a HIVE VR system is 4 times the cost (i.e., $1,200 vs. $300.)
