This could be an indicator of a slowing economy. The K shaped recovery driven by inflation and costs rising faster than income could be global. So the down leg of the K is being stressed and is cutting back on consumer expenditures. Meanwhile Tech spending for AI continues to grow giving positive GDP growth.

How long will this continue? As consumers continue to slow, that has to reduce demand for all sorts of consumer manufacturing. Slowing growth can be expected to extend into the upper middle class too.
