How the Dutch Do Business Park Planning...

This guy explains how the work commute is so much better in the Netherlands than in Canada. And Americans laugh, because the US is way beyond suck in that category. But infrastructure that makes life better for everyday workers costs too much for private industry, and will be never be government subsidized because in the US, rural votes are much more powerful than urban votes. Yeah, someone mentioned that in the Netherlands, it’s not just cities that have better transportation systems, it’s even the small towns.

I concur...
Details can be overcome...

How long is your commute? Do you drive? Public transit? How would you like this type of commute?

30 minute drive each way. If I took Metro bus/rail it would take me 1.75 hours one way. My trip is away from DC so that may be the difficulty.

Good. I suspect you work from home the other 3? But, what if our PT system was setup the way the Dutch do it... think it would benefit you, in any way?

But, our PT (public transit) system is so outdated. It started when, back in the 1700-1800, right? I like how the Dutch do it... easy on, easy off. They also think about the pedestrian, not just the cars. I really think this is a smart way to go for big cities and even some smaller cities... just makes sense.
