The link button is the “two chain links” icon?
When i click that, i get several ways to “share”, and when i click the yahoo mail icon, it opens a yahoo email from me with the content in the content field of the email.
There is NO addressee.
Hmmm…

Yep it goes through these boards. It is in the fool system.
You would not want someone taking all our email addresses for commercial purposes if they could see them all.
No, you cannot email the author, like before. You can get a link to a post, and email it someone you know.
Wayne, you are totally right here, I have it wrong.
Sorry RH.
I posted to the NPI board.
Its my maiden voyage post.
Hi Denny. I sincerely hope you find a way to stick around.
The learning curve seems to have a steep beginning, but it seems to be leveling out, and may well follow the yield curve and invert?
RH,
Denny was posting less than an hour ago. He’s okay. Probably having too good a time traveling.
It’s hard not to think there’s an aspect of age with this. The old board was a relic of the 90s and the couple of people i sent links to immediately gave up. This board looks like all modern boards and is actually useable for anyone who hasn’t been around motley for a decade, IMHO.
However, for anyone who has been around these boards for a decade or longer, the results of working through the new set up are nothing like the boards in Days of Yore. This was the case even before the Grand Switcheroo with a good many boards stumbling along with with a fraction of the traffic and content quality. I noticed ages ago that the majority of posters who I followed ceased posting well over a decade ago.
Maybe the perception of value and return on investment for the extra work of getting up to speed isn’t there for the Old Lags.
As if your verbose messages of self importance are appreciated by all, dream on!
Tell me you are a loyal lurker without telling me you are a loyal lurker.

ps…thanks for being a loyal lurker.
I hope you find your way around here Captain, I’ve always learned something from your posts about investing and personal life adventures and background, especially having lived in Venezuela and escaping it just in time from dictatorship and ruin a few years back.
I trust you’ll figure it out, others are struggling with the new format, we’re so spoiled…we don’t like change because we have to do something different….it’s okay…we’ll get through this and I hope you will too.

I did enjoy the grey out button on the old boards so I didn’t have to read verbose dreams that conveyed nothing. Hopefully there’s a way to do that on these boards as well.
LD
LD - Scroll down to the end of the thread and you will see a Tracking button with a little drop down arrow thingy. Hit that drop down arrow and you can select to Mute the entire thread. Hope that’s what you were looking for.

LD…Click on anyone’s icon in a thread and you’ll pull up their usercard - click their picture, and you’ll get something with a header like this - click Normal on the right and Mute will be an option (you can also mute users in your profile)
I am aghast at you, Jen…
That’s just how Jen rolls!
Or speciesism, you old goat.
Is there a way to adjust the size of those icons when viewing topics in the Category display? Those buttons are super-tiny, almost impossible to differentiate from one another. So while the thread topic is quite legible, you can’t see who wrote the post or who’s been responding. If we could reduce the font of the thread title and increase the size of the poster buttons, it would allow us to see who the author is.

Hopefully you can see the image below, it is a screenshot of how I see my “Favorites” (Categories)
If you hover over screenshot, it should be able to be enlarged (click diagonal arrows) for better view.
I’ve clicked on METAR (so now bolded) which indicates 10 unread Threads & the # of unread posts (2, 2, 2,4 etc in each thread)
Hovering over the User Icons shows the User Names of each Thread (1st two are Ormont)
Hope that helps ??
If you read my comment, it is clear that I decided not to RE-post them.
I don’t think it’s helpful to have multiple copies in multiple posts on multiple boards.
Since the comments/problems were not addressed to you, but to TMF’s IT team - who, as far as I can tell - have already seen them - I don’t see any benefit in collating them here for you.
