As a long time F150 owner, it’s hard to beat for simple towing a 24’ RV/trailer… But mine is 19 years old, but well maintained, biggest headache has been keeping the battery up because it sets unused for long stretches… A small solar panel on the dash solved that… Registration, insurance costs do add up, but part of the game..
And likely better built than those currently running off the assembly and cheaper to buy to boot.
Ahh, but the technology perks we have in newer vehicles like our RAV4, a multitude of cameras, lane guidance, a whole bunch of things we get used to real fast in the new vehicles, so stepping back in time is a bit of a jolt, I had forgotten how much more I need to be aware of, simply backing out of a parking spot, overall more care needed, so easy to accept the new tech, I imagine the new trucks have been catching up, but it’s really impossible to justify a new F150 when so few miles are run up lately… 2024 miles, when I reported my Odometer reading to the insurance company, was only 774 miles for the whole year! Old days I’d be well over 60K… Changing times…
While out n about today, I was next to a F150 Lightning! I’d forgotten about them, what caught my eye was the filler door just in front of the drivers door, rather than in the bed like my ICE F150… Should look n see what they offer as far as features…
