You can’t make this stuff up: Marjorie Taylor Greene just took stupid to a new low… Specifically, she appears to be in disbelief about the existence of batteries — you know, those things that were invented in 1800 to provide power without the need for cords. After learning that Air Canada recently placed an order for 30 electric airplanes, Greene expressed some rather dim concerns. True to form, she also managed to be as offensive as possible.
There are a lot of fools out there, across the political spectrum.
It seems to me that… overall… people were a whole lot less stupid 30-50 years ago, regardless of their political persuasion. Now, stupid reigns. Seems like we as a country went off a cliff around the turn of the century or so.

Who notes on the other hand, his synagogue may be within a few months of agreeing on a contract to install solar power during an upcoming re-roofing project that promises to deliver 42% of the building’s electrical needs, though the number crunchers will have to decide whether they want to buy and pay up front with a 15-year payoff, or grant a provider the right to install panels on the building’s roof, then buy electricity over the next 20 years…
