The old Chinese saying “May you live in interesting times” indeed applies to developments in the Gulf region. But this article adds some color to developments in the Strait of Hormuz.
One vessel mentioned in article was “Front Gandar” , a VLCC belonging to FRO. At least from what is described it seems the vessel was headed into the Gulf to pick up a cargo. Still waiting to hear these various shipping entities reporting their Q1 2026 numbers. As noted elsewhere, DHT has provided a high level view (via TC and Spot averages for VLCCs). Either way, a lot more variables to consider in Q1 2026, that likely carry to Q2 2026.
