Is Israel war coming to an end?

I agree with your assessment. The chances of a Gaza to Libya Palestinian Trail of Tears are slim, for a lot of reasons.

The principled reason which rejects such a move as contrary to our nation’s values doesn’t seem to be an obstacle any longer.

Nope, not unless they were white South Africans or maybe white eastern europeans, or…OK, let’s face, white.

ah but 100,000? 200,000…rinse and repeat.

illegal ilschemgal.

Should the Jews be pushed out? Should every Muslim in the ME think ONLY one religion on earth?

Why?

You think Bibi is on the right? Try Iranian politics, or Saudi.

Israel gets special treatment that is not so special.

UAE and SA have bombed the crap out of Yemen. No one put up these arguments. Far more people have died in Yemen. Far more children have died. It is not even close.

No, they won’t take 100K or 200K either. They can’t absorb that kind of inflow of impoverished people even if it were limited to just 100-200K - and obviously, this would be useless if it were just that amount of people. So unless Libya is signing up to take many hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, it’s not worth doing - and whether they take them all at once or over time (rinse and repeat), they can’t handle that kind of inflow. Even if either of the Libyan governments were willing to go along with this.

You might discount “illegal schmilegal,” but it’s actually one of the main reasons why this proposal is simply impossible to implement. You could theoretically relocate a million or so people for humanitarian reasons if there were lots of countries that were willing to take them - but because the forced relocation would be considered ethnic cleansing by nearly every country, there aren’t sufficient places for them to go. So it isn’t a real option - a fantasy that the Administration and the Israeli governments are indulging in for various domestic political reasons, but not actually a feasible alternative.
