My youngest cousin is a well trained Dublin lawyer. She is very pro peace and not happy with Israel.
She is a very well informed political person.
She knew nothing about the situation. She has been lied to endlessly.
We had a long conversations about three months ago on Israel/Palestine.
Points of interest
Most of the 45k dead are related to Hamas. Far fewer are innocent civilians with no relationship to Hamas.
The Palestinians on the tribal level can and have often negotiated in good faith for peace and prosperity with Israel.
The Palestinians on the national level, Jordan, have negotiated for peace and democracy on the national level.
But Hamas and the PLA will not negotiate for peace in a meaningful way if at all. Both have been elected but won’t claim they are national governments. Both are armed and not at all innocent.
Patience is not that easy to have for either side. Israelis can not be blamed for running out of patience.
The Sephardic Jews were owed reparations. Israel is majority Sephardic.
Israel is an Arab country. Does it have to be Muslim?
Why ignore the other wars but only concentrate on Israel. Does the lack of Jews play a role in ignoring other wars? That is why this is antisemitic as portrayed in the press and protesting groups.
The other wars are all worse than anything Israel is doing.
Israel has paid reparations to Palestinians as ordered by Israeli courts often. Only Germany has done similarly but Israel has not murdered millions of Palestinians. (if you are American when will the Native Americans or African Americans get reparations? You have no clue the hypocrisy and you are wrong. Probably never informed that Israel does pay reparations. After this war Israel will probably rebuild Gaza and pay reparations.)
The claims of genocide are not true. Please define how they are if you object to that. You can not define that. So stop.
Ethnic cleansing is not true. Israel is 19% Israeli Palestinians.
The PLA and Hamas won’t move on. Roughly 60% of Palestinians live in peace with Israel. Israel is in fact their guarantee of peace and democracy.
