Of course this is bad…but

  • Smoking is the number one preventable cause of death in the U.S., killing over 480,000 people per year.
  • Secondhand smoke causes more than 41,000 deaths in the U.S. each year.

What are you trying to say?

Uninsured and underinsured people there are 30k deaths per year because of lack of funding.

Picking your belly button might kill you.

They are both bad things that both cause harm, so why try to “compare” them?

Because the ammo in a couple of places is being sold like cigarettes.

Ammo costs less than cigarettes

I thought that cigarette vending machines were outlawed decades ago.
But I was wrong…it seems a licensed facility can sell them only if the location is adults only.
The ammo machines scan a photo ID and do a face scan, not sure if the cigarette machines to that

We are talking deep red states.

Listening on NPR today to a show on army recruits and the rise of country music. Country because it was folksy for the Southern kids. In other words get someone shot at or worse but make it nice propaganda.

Ken Burns did a nice 10-part documentary on the history of country music. Also a series on jazz. Both series are recommended.

How much airplay is Beyonce’s country music album getting on C&W stations?

That is a serious question. I don’t listen to the radio.

I do not listen to country stations.

The hip hop stations have moved on after a few other black country songs were throw in the mix.

NPR did a story on B and a few stories on black cow pokes. Only with so many black cow pokes did the word “cowboy” get invented. It was made white by Hollywood.
