Medicare Advantage plans are endangering the lives of older adults and people with disabilities. The HHS Office of the Inspector General (OIG), which works to fight waste, fraud and abuse, recently issued a devastating report showing that these corporate health plans, which contract with the government to deliver Medicare benefits, are denying large amounts of care inappropriately.

Purely out of curiosity … is there an appropriate way to deny large amounts of healthcare? I see lots of Ads on US TV for people to sign up for Medicare Advantage plans, no idea what they are selling?

OT - New York has brought in a Crypto Mining moratorium … don’t y’all have a constitutional Right to be really dumb with your money? Apparently much of the electricity used comes from Nat Gas … which is a fossil fuel?

Interesting link/article, Mr. Puck.
The title of it says, “Some Medicare Advantage Plans Are Endangering Their Enrollees’ Lives” although the actual first sentence of the article drops the ‘some.’
The thesis also says that ‘some’ [again] plans are better, or worse, than others. From what I’ve heard about any of them over the past several years, virtually all of these plans are worse than regular Medicare. Does anyone have information to indicate otherwise?
