My boss has a Win 10 laptop and I have a Win 11 tower. Several years ago I vaguely remember setting us both up on a shared printer. As far as I know I don’t recall giving her access to any files but it’s not a big deal if I did. Anyway I’ve noticed in the last couple of months I keep getting a lot of “girly” stuff (i.e.: knitting, cooking, make-up, etc) in my inbox. The boss is running Windows Mail and I’m running Outlook.
Any ideas as to what might be going on? Where do I go to fix it?
Thanks.

Unless you share an email address, I would say some computer or spamer is sending you stuff you didn’t ask for. If you are sharing an email address, forget anything below.
You could click Unsubscribe which might work if the sender is somebody ethical like Newsweek or the New York Times. If click an unsubscribe button with a Spammer, you just raised you value because you have proven the address you use is a real human.
I live in the Mac world, so my software won’t help. But its algorithms are in Bayesian statistics. Look for that magic word.

I think I may be getting closer to a resolution to the problem. I had mentioned in an earlier thread that the boss kept getting these prompts for her to upgrade to the “new” Outlook. I think this may be a part of the problem since the prompts and the girly stuff started happening about the same time.
I’ve been using Outlook for a couple years and it’s been fine for me so I suggested to the boss that she try it. So we dig in a little further and although I have Office 365 allowing me to use Outlook I needed to upgrade to Office 365 for the family. See the trick there? Microsoft can make money by putting the death watch on M/S Mail and force you to upgrade your Office if you plan to use Outlook.
Anyway we going down that path currently. Right off the bat is the password issue. I have 489 passwords for M/S and the boss probably has 223 passwords for M/S. Neither of us has hit on the correct one yet.
Oh, well, I guess I could get them to reset her password but where would they send the new password since Mail apparently is being sunsetted.
Whoa is me.
