The "New" Outlook

I need some help. The bosses’ laptop is Win 10 and a day or so ago she starts getting these pop-ups that she needs to go to the “New” Outlook. She doesn’t want to go to the “New” Outlook. I tried all the Google suggestions and can’t get rid of the “New” Outlook popup. I finally had what I thought was a brilliant idea. I disabled MalwareBytes and Defender and ran a system restore. I figured whatever she got into I could go back in time and undo it. That sucker ran for four (4) hours. She was free and clear of the “New” Outlook … for about 15 minutes this morning. Grrrr!!!

After 58 years one has learned that it is imperative that one keeps the boss happy.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of the dreaded “New” Outlook pop-up. Man I would be greatly appreciative.

P.S. Been running Outlook for years and am completely happy with it on my Win 11 tower.

Microsoft is forcing everyone to upgrade to the New Outlook. It is not as good as the Classic Outlook, in my opinion. They are doing away with Mail and the Classic Outlook. Other people feel the same way. You might find this article of interest, Microsoft is forcefully trying to get more users to switch to the new Outlook app for Windows. | Windows Central .

I found this:
To stop the pop-up notification to try the New Outlook, you can adjust your notification settings. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Open Outlook.com in your browser.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select View all Outlook settings.
  4. Click on Notifications in the left-hand menu.
  5. Scroll down to the New Outlook section.
  6. Toggle the switch next to Show the opt-in message for the New Outlook to the off position.

If you still see the pop-up notification, you can try clearing your browser cache and cookies, or using a different browser. If you’re using Microsoft Edge, you can also try disabling notifications for Outlook.com by following these steps:

  1. Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the Edge browser window.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click on Site permissions in the left-hand menu.
  4. Scroll down to Notifications.
  5. Find Outlook.com in the list of sites.
  6. Click on the three dots next to it.
  7. Select Remove.

A bit different. maybe, but on my Mac, Office 365, Outlook seemed to be determined to flip to the ‘New’ Outlook, I kept flipping it back, I sent notes in, finally, in one of the updates, a Legacy option switch appeared on the top of the window, I leave it On, and so far staying where I want it, no changes!

The New one destroys all my Rules, Folders, they took me years to get them how I want them, just leave 'em alone M$! Yes it’s irritating…
