I chased some credit card rewards and got bitten. I opened a card in May, used it in July, and somehow forgot about it. There was a lot going on with my parents, and I missed setting up autopay on it, didn’t add it to Quicken, just - spaced it. Today I realized I had been dinged with over 30 days late. I got it before it hit 60 days late. I feel stupider than I have in a very very long time.

Ouch. And luckily, you caught it and it will slowly work its way back out of your record. Hopefully it is not a significant impact on your actual finances?

No, that’s what’s even more frustrating. Plus I have two other cards with that bank, both on autopay. This one was definitely an outlier.
