Oh, boy. Got oil?

Right now, lots of crude around. Take out one or two major exporters and?

US is evacuating dependents in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar, as well as Iraq.

Here we go.

Bubblevision’s site is showing WTI up $5.38, at this time.

Just filled up

Israel is doing exactly what is needed.

Nyt quoted dem ri senator making silly statements. When will we grow up?

“Bibi” says the bombing will likely go on for days, not a “one and done”. Of course, the musical question arises: many of the Iranian facilities are underground. Israel is not known to possess “bunker buster” bombs, like the US has, that could reach underground facilities.

In a video statement posted on social media Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attack, called Operation "Rising Lion, “struck at the heart of Iran nuclear enrichment program” and will “continue for as many days as it takes”.

Israel “opened its wicked and blood-stained hand to a crime in our beloved country, revealing its malicious nature more than ever by striking residential centers,” Khamenei said.

So far (only so far), petroleum seems to be held as sacred….

I expect the Israeli’s did a lot of back room prepping and dealing with the crux nations and what they really care about = $$$

LOL. Pues, cierto! For sure!

I expect “all of them” (up to a point) have always (up to a point) wanted (up to a point) Iran’s nucs taken out (yeah, up to a point). But, always conditioned on not violating the “do not screw with petroleum infrastructure” de facto rules, including abstaining from blasting Iran’s Kharg Island.

Iran’s mullahs cu/m (idiot blog censor strikes again against normal literacy) military idiots have badly and fatally miscalculated.

May Allah bless Iran with a popular reformist uprising c/um takeover.

Sure, and that’s why Iran’s nuke program has lasted as long as it has. But eventually action has to be taken to avoid the end point.

A multi-pronged attack. And Israeli intelligence on Iran is spooky good.

Or you could agree to limit their ability and wont to procure nuclear materials. Seems to me there was something like that once upon a time.

The agreement referred to is the [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)], also known as the Iran nuclear deal, which was negotiated by the United States, along with the UK, France, Germany, China, Russia, and the EU (the P5+1). The agreement was reached with Iran in 2015 and aimed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons by imposing restrictions on its nuclear program.

Elaboration:

  • Negotiations and Agreement:

The JCPOA was a result of extensive negotiations between the P5+1 and Iran, led by the United States during the Obama administration.

  • Key Provisions:

The agreement involved Iran agreeing to: eliminate its stockpile of medium-enriched uranium, reduce low-enriched uranium by 98%, reduce its gas centrifuge program, and limit uranium enrichment to a single facility using first-generation centrifuges for 10 years.

  • International Verification:

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) played a crucial role in verifying Iran’s compliance with the agreement through regular inspections of Iranian nuclear facilities.

  • Sanctions Relief:

In return for Iran’s verifiable compliance with the agreement’s provisions, the US, the EU, and the UN Security Council agreed to lift certain sanctions related to Iran’s nuclear program.

  • Legal Status:

The JCPOA was not a treaty or executive agreement, but it reflected political commitments among the participating nations.

  • Withdrawal:

In 2018, the Trump administration withdrew the United States from the JCPOA and reinstated sanctions against Iran, leading to the agreement’s dismantling.

OK, now I remember. The great deal maker decided that Obama’s deal wasn’t “good enough”, so he scrapped it in favor of … NOTHING.

And now we have war planes and drones flying back and forth.

Another excellent outcome by the excellent outcome man.

So you think that Iran ended/stopped its nuclear enrichment and weapons program because/during JCPOA? That’s very optimistic of you.

From the recent IAEA report:
“The Board of Governors…finds that Iran’s many failures to uphold its obligations since 2019 to provide the Agency with full and timely cooperation regarding undeclared nuclear material and activities at multiple undeclared locations in Iran…constitutes non-compliance with its obligations under its Safeguards Agreement with the Agency”

Hmm.

Back on April 12th Iran was given an ultimatum.

Looking at my calendar, the 60 days ended Wednesday.

TIG stuck a fork in the JCPOA on May 8, 2018. Cause and effect?

The US has provided a finite number of aircraft maintenance parts, and bombs, over the past year. A non-trial amount of those supplies have been used to rearrange the rubble in Gaza. The Israelis probably don’t have the resources to destroy everything in Iran, in one night.

Trump ended the agreement in May, 2018. Why on earth would Iran continue abiding by it when we said we wouldn’t?

You must have gone to the Trump school of negotiation, where you have to do what I say, but I don’t if I don’t feel like it.

Well, there is this:

{ Does it prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons?
Many experts say that if all parties adhered to their pledges, the deal almost certainly could have achieved that goal for longer than a decade. Many of the JCPOA’s restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program have expiration dates. For example, after ten years (from January 2016), centrifuge restrictions would be lifted, and after fifteen years, so too would limits on the amount of low-enriched uranium Iran can possess. Some of the deal’s opponents faulted these so-called sunset provisions, saying they would only delay Iran building a bomb while sanctions relief would allow it to underwrite terrorism in the region. }

Do you ever get the feeling that Trump cancels treaties, just so he can negotiate a new “arty” deal, and take another victory lap, covering himself in glory?
